LA's Mayoral elections are happening on JUNE 2nd of 2026 and midterm elections are coming up this November too...
AND WE AREN'T TALKING ABOUT IT!
arguably, one could say that midterm elections are possibly the most impactful, especially for formulating local and state legislation, state laws, and even securing our nation's 'checks and balances'.
you know there's a reason why they don't remind us, and if they do- the language is almost impossible to decipher without a dictionary or degree.
this is why i created 'simone's summaries' in the past and i've heard that folks would have my list pulled up while they waited in line at their polling station.
so I am BRINGING it BACK - as we are seriously having some major issues politically.
I will begin to update this page as I learn more about those running for office and different state and local laws that can impact us.
As always: my language will be TRUTHFUL and STRAIGHT TO THE POINT. I have no party loyalty, and I have nothing to gain or lose by posting this.
without further adieu, ladies and germs-

for June 2nd and November of 2026:
Los Angeles Mayoral Candidate, June 2nd 2026
Bryant Acosta is running on a simple idea: if people can’t see how their government works, it doesn’t work for them. His plan focuses on real transparency—showing where money goes, who makes decisions, and delivering results without excuses.
On homelessness and affordability, he treats the crisis as a systems failure—and has a plan to fix it. By streamlining services and creating faster pathways to stability, he aims to get people off the streets and into dignified housing. He’ll also tackle price gouging in groceries, rent, and ticketing, while building co-op housing to create lasting affordability.
Acosta also brings a holistic approach to well-being through hydroponic gardening—growing clean, pesticide-free food without soil erosion, helping communities heal from within while building a more sustainable city.
We’ve got a strong candidate here.
